On the whole, Red Robin was my first job out of high school and has given me the chance to work through all available positions which I have done. The most enjoyable part of the job is being able to work with a group of fellow employees that are more like a family than co-workers. The most challenging part of the job is to ensure that all the guests recieve their meals as requested at the highest quality while maintaining the restaurants standards. The managers have grown accustomed to allowing me to help others and handle my own sitations allowing for good problem assesment and management skills while providing the opportuntiy to teach others how to do so themselves. Typically I am given a larger, high volume section seeing more guests increasing the individual workload while still helping the team, Friday nights specifically consist of me being the closing server responsible for making sure other employees have adequately closed their sections and side details while being on to serve until closing time. Multi-tasking is a crucial part of the job as is aiding fellow employees, the restaurant functions as one unit, if one area falls behind, we all fall behind. A typical day at work consists of serving customers, this aspect has allowed me to break free from the sterotypical shell of non-communicable engineers to the general public.
